People usually ask, if these remote install phone spy apps are real and do they actually work. The web is full of different websites claiming that their software can be remotely be installed on a target phone to be used for spying. These companies know that some people are desperate for such applications and they prey on them offering the impossible. First of all, doing something like installing software on someone else’s phone would be illegal, and doing so remotely is just not possible. Any service offering such as thing is without a doubt a scam that will either take your funds or even worse, a virus or malware that will in turn steal your information.
Remote installing software, without any previously installed software to do so, is simply not an available technology. To use spy software, the user must have legal rights over the smartphone in order to abide the law, but more importantly, the user needs to have physical access to the device in order to initially install the app itself. Only once the app has been installed, can the user control, monitor, log, and make changes remotely. All of the established and top monitoring services operate this way, including, mSpy, FlexiSpy, Mobile Spy, MobiStealth, PhoneSheriff, you name it. No such remote install service exists.
To scam the buyers, these companies advertise that their so called logging applications will work on any smartphone on any network without any modification to the phone. Some say that by just installing the application on your own smartphone, the user can spy on a target phone by just giving them a call. All this sounds ridiculous and the hard fact is that these applications are mostly fake and if offered for free, they present a risk of infecting your devices. Often operating from shady overseas offices, they will fight credit card charge backs and even possibly scam your billing details at a later date. Another common and somewhat related scam is free monitoring software, often offering the same remote install capability.
How to Spot the Fakes
Most of these websites have a similar style, setup information, and use some common terminologies, which you can use to spot the fakes.
- All of the legitimate smartphone monitoring applications like mSpy and FlexiSpy offer a limited license, ranging from a month to a year. While these scam companies offer one-time payment with no monthly charges and free lifetime upgrades.
- Most of these applications are bundled with other useless applications to attract customers. If someone offers a free bonus which looks dodgy, it probably is, as real companies don’t make such offers.
- Such scam companies offer their products at a fraction of the price of their main rivals. Offering such an amazing product at dirt cheap price is also a warning sign. If it seems too good to be true, you know it is.
- Payment methods offered by the business also tells a lot about them. Most scam companies only accept payment through credit cards, Skrill or other money brokers, while most authentic companies accept payment through PayPal. This is because these scam companies don’t want to bother with PayPal cases and buyer protection.
- Contact information will usually be very limited. Any listed physical address should be searched and will most likely yield no results. Phone numbers are usually fake or not listed and further background checks only reveal more shadiness.
- Many of these services advise using Bluetooth to remotely install the spyware, because that is what it really is, spyware. Any service offering this type of setup should be avoided like the plague.
The Problem with Remote Bluetooth Install
Even if you have no care or guilt about breaking the law and trying to bug someone else’s phone without them knowing, this so-called Bluetooth method is very much flawed. First, the target device would need to have Bluetooth turned on, which usually is kept off to save battery. Second, you would need to be about 50 feet away from the device at most, and actually have to make a call to it. That means, you would need to be in plain sight of the target and call them, while trying to remain inconspicuous.
But wait, it gets worse. Since you have no idea what operating system version your target phone is running, you have to put your faith that this service really does what it claims and that it will run on any kind of phone and any operating system. If you believe that, get ready to give away your money. That is just not the case, each OS version requires a specific version of the spy app, and every time smart phone makers update their software, monitoring service companies rush to release an update and remain compatible.

You freakin rock for making this information available for novices to read and make a good decision. I have a major question though. WEBWATCHER software keeps wanting me to uninstall the CM SECURITY ANTIVIRUS ON MY TARGET PHONE. I don;t want to because phones are too expensive to not have some protection. Does mobistealth continue to record data even with an antivirus installed? Once again, webwatcher can only record data 3-4 days before the antivirus stops it from recording further data. I look forward to your feedback.
How do I remove spy ware on my phone
Hi Rosetta,
Follow this guide for some assistance: https://spyappsmobile.com/how-to-remove-spy-apps-from-your-smart-phone-or-tablet/
not good stealing other websites images
Sure, I fully agree, if it was a legitimate service. But that website and service scams people, so the image is used as an example of what these fake ads look like. I rather help others avoid credit card scams by exposing them.
I got a group text from a friend of mine and the user “hy”, she said it wasn’t a user, she just must have typed something weird after my name. After that, my texting was slow as hell and the phone (an Android, Samsung) took it’s time shutting down. So, I’ve been tapped, haven’t I?
For your phone to be tapped by a monitoring app, someone would need to physically take your phone and install it. They would need your password to access the phone and make any administrative changes. A group chat cannot do that. You have higher chances of being spied on by the NSA or other government agencies than an individual.
You do realize that you are not correct?
While the remote installation is extremly difficult, it’s not impossible.
There’s this thing called “drive-by installation”, you should look it up. And yes, this also applies to android devices, not only desktops.
hi ala. I am desperately looking for this information. Over the air install or “drive-by-installation” as you called it. Can you share more? What software can do this? recommendations please.
Hi lala, do you have a link or suggestions for the “drive by installing “?
Did you try it? I really want to install it on my husbands cell phone but he has an android.
So again how can I find out if my husband has a SpyWare app on my Samsung Galaxy s6 edge +
why u posting here without asking honey??
Never use spywhizz. It is a complete scam
Also drive-by installation will not work. Because even if you can get the user to install fake java to run the android apk file. Android will still prompt you to allow the apk to access your cam, video, sms ect – this is a dead give away. Plus you will need to type in some type of id to indentify the phone for the users dashboard.
